Catalytic converter

This is a question I'm sure I'll get some heat on. Has anyone with a computer controlled vehicle removed the catalytic converter all together? Will the computer run the engine without one? I do NOT have emissions testing where I live and I have a clogged converter.

If there isn't an O2 sensor behind or in the cat you can remove it.

What about the gas vapor return line? Can it be plugged?

I took mine off to do true duals. The o2 sensor is still there, but otherwise its just straight piping//

Yes it CAN be plugged but you want your tank to breathe don't you??

Gas vapor line is probably not the correct term. I'm talking about the return line that comes off of the converter and I think runs back into the fuel system somehow.

that tube runs from the converter to a valve behind the heads. fromt here it goes to a crossover pipe an connects to either head to bring unburnt vapors back into the head to be reburned. you would want to remove this cross over as well and install plugs into the back of the heads. i will say its a royal pain with the heads on the motor but can be done from what i hear.
