i've never seen one for sale. I was told that the shape is simple enough that any metal shop could fab one so no one bothered with it.

Yeah that patch is one of the easiest shapes to make as far as the rust out areas are concerned. Very easy to make if you have a shrinker/stretcher set. I have also seen other people just do pie cuts in the bottom flange to make the radius.

Sounds like a good excuse to, as Nick suggests, learn how to use a shrinker/stretcher. Some quick videos here Shrinker/Stretcher Combo Set-Two BodiesTwo Jaws.

For this job you will need a mig welder or somebody that has one.

F-1 slow down on this it will take a few years to do a good job on this truck
Read more threads study welding or glueing which ever you choose but patches on the fenders are going to need to be welded I believe lap joints won't work learning were you can't see after is the way I learned to weld not that I can weld even a little. Making patches for under the floor who is going to get under the truck to see it. Harbor freight is where I got some of my tools east wood is where I got my shrinker/stretcher others got a welder from them so check around this is going to cost$$$$$ here is a pic I blab to much

A tool that helps with lap joints is an air punch/flanger that I got at Harbor Freight. Air Punch Flange Tool

You can flange an edge after you cut out the shape so it fits flush. The hole punch makes fast and clean work of punching holes for plug spot welds or rivets.

I checked the thickness with my sheet metal thickness gauge. My original cab is 18 gauge and the new cab corner is 18 gauge. I actually cut my old cab corner off lastnight and test fit the new. It fits darn near perfect. Just a little tweaking on the door lip side. It even impressed my hard to impress dad.lol
