tc is lockup and the shift has been firmed up with the springs and i am not sure if every 3rd spring was removed.i know i removed them from the trannies i built.

Ok, well, also, there was a lil ball with a spring attached to it in the pump. Something about preventing fluid from reverse flow i think...one of these should have came with the kit...One guy I know stressed that I get this right. Another thing in the pump..the bearing in the center is supposed to be replaced. And the kit tells you to stake it to prevent it from backing out, there is a notch in the bearing that you have to line up with a feed hole...it forms a lil curve, the top of which is fed fluid....

cyber i think but not positive that anti drain back valve is to prevent backflow from the TC thus stopping delayed cold start shifting probs. the oe ford ones were made from plastic and had a tendancy to melt
bearing in the center of the pump?dont remember seeing a bearing there,bushing maybe?

Well, damn...sorry about that. It is called a bushing. I've been studying engines lately so I'm used to bearings lol. Hhere is a pic of what I'm talkin about. http://www.askbw.com/parts/TS-Pictures/36002-01.jpg The bottom of that slash should line up with a fluid feed hole. And, it should be staked into place.
