I made the mistake letting someone that said they
knew what they were doing adjust on the distributor of my 65 240-6. They adjust both the
primary and secondary springs on the advance plate
and now it's running worse than before.
There is no one around here that knows how to correct my problem, (just a bunch of shadetrees)
Can anyone help?
How about hitting a salvage yard and getting an electronic ignition distributor from a '75 to early '80s truck along with the associated parts. I paid less than $50 for everything for my FE series engine and those are much scarcer than 300 -6 parts...
I want to put electronic ignition on my 65 f100
but no one knows how to wire it up.
I have 302ci . I have ignition from 75 ranchero
with a 351ci and also have ignition from 84 f150
with 302ci
For all you guys who want electronic ign. go to this site: http:www.wrljet.com/engines/duraspark.html
This is what you need for an easy conversion.By the way,for fordfast, the 351 dist. won't match the 302 but you can use the module, harness, etc.

Go to www.wrljet.com
Then hit the link to Ford V8 engines
Then hit the link to Duraspark II
This should get you to the directions to convert to duraspark.
