Reason: forgot small piece of info
yeah, I keep reading time and time agian that cheapo plugs work the best on SBF's, not sure about modulars tho....but at under $20 for all 8 its worth a shot.
anyone tried iridiums?? I had them in my old mustang and havent had to the chance to look into things to far. i have an 04 4.6 Scab 2wd. how well will they work with that truck.
Motorcraft platinum are the only ones that I have found to work well and last awhile in my 5.4. I have heard that the autolites will work. I tried bosch and they only lasted a month before I started dropping cylinders.
I know if you go to a power adder, installers/manufacturers recommend the use of iridium plugs over platinum and dp. In the application of a stock engine, I think iridium is a bit much, though.
Iridium has a higher melting point than platnium, but I haven't heard if they conduct power better than platnium. I plan on using denso iridiums some time next year.
