Well the first and formost thing I see is the heads you have linked too ain't gonna work with any of it. Those are C460 heads thats one step above the heads I run on my race engine, they take custom pistons, special intakes, use a Chevy exhaust pattern for the headers and as I recall need atleast a 4.5" bore min and recommend a 4.6" bore.
And on top of that you can't afford the rockers for those heads let alone the rest, plus they aren't ported or even actually really finished for use as cast. The rockers alone will push into the $1400 range all finished setup and ready to run those heads will cost you in the 4-5000 range plus corrosponding parts to make them work.

Yeah stock heads, those ones you linked too were 995ea bare that means without valves springs or anything. The ones I linked too are a little over $1000ea complete.

well I guess the edelbrock heads are a little cheaper but not much, $899 each.

Ya know, this is a really good point, MB, in that it may also be that if the rotating assy was balanced previously by a lazy shop, then the zero balance parts may have already been drilled into and f'd up in the process of bringing the assy into balance. Defintely a good idea to check everything out...

but those edelbrock heads have cheaper hardware on them... like single springs, 7 degree retainers and locks, smaller intake valves, and cheaper valve seals. youd be better off with the tfs ones that monsterbaby originally suggested- just be sure to get the proper headers for them
