engine cleaner
Hello, I want to give my engine a good cleaning but don't want to have any problems starting it after.Is there a good product to spray on and wipe of rather than hosing?

After I bought my truck, I washed out the engine bay real good... A couple days later, I was dealing with a misfire. A fluke, perhaps. I have just read too many bad things about washing engines and these Ford COPs. I'll let my engine get a little dirty/dusty.

I usually just cover the coil/distributor, alternator and fuse box with a couple plastic bags. The just be mindful not to blast water on electical parts. I have never had a problem, I have cleaned all my cars engine bays probably once a year no problems over the past 10 years for me.
