Adding roof clearance lights?

Is there a good way to add roof clearance lights to an F250 that didn't come with them?

One of the FTE folks put together a website showing his install:

http://www.emotoman.com/f250/lights/f250lights.htm

We've had some other members build templates from a truck at a local dealership, and use that to do their installs.

I suppose it just goes to prove that there are 100 ways to skin a cat...it just depends on which one you prefer.

No, I don't sorry. However, I do know that if you buy them from a dealer they are fairly expensive. If my memory is correct, like $155.00. I bought mine at Cabellas, Ford OEM lights and harness come as a kit, think I paid like $35.00 for the kit. It was about 2 years ago, so price may be higher now. Put them on myself, took like maybe an hour, to an hour and a half. Fairly easy job. Used the link Deluxe05 provided. Good luck.

I bought mine at the dealer also but I don't think that they were nearly that much.

Yeah, probably not. I don't really recall. I know it was over $100.00 though, $125.00, $135.00, $155.00 something. Whatever it was, it was a heck of a lot more than the $35.00 at Cabellas for the same exact thing.

It is the OEM kit, so it plugged directly in.

I just called Midway Ford. A huge fleet dealer here in KC, parts/service open til 2:30 AM. (cheap plug for excellent dealer). Anyway, I was quoted a price of $137.00 for all. Don't sell in a kit, harness one price, lenses another, fixtures another etc. Installed is $336.41. shoot, just buy the kit at Cabelas. It is the original Ford part, invest an hour and do it yourself. Trust me, it is easier than you think.

so there is a factory harness under the kick panel that just plugs in for power to the lights. do you have to take the glove box out also?

No. The plug in is right where you said, under the passenger side kick panel.

i looked more closely at the cabelas kit and it say is comes with an on-off switch. did your kit come with that? i thought when you turned on your headlights they automatically come on if there was already a plug to connect to and you wouldnt have a separate switch

Mine came with a switch yes. I didn't use it though and just connected the harness into the factory provided receptical under the kick panel. They come on when the head lights / parking lights are on. Comes with a switch because some people like to be able to blink them on / off like a semi, independent of the headlights, or I guess, just shut them down when the headlights are on, for whatever reason.
