4.6 hard cranking and error codes

4.6 hard cranking and error codes

I have a 2005 f-150 with the 4.6 45,000 miles with difficulty cranking it. It will turn over fine. Just had codes come up PO300 and P0305. Any ideas on the fix without paying the dealership to go and tell me its cop's or injectors or just plugs ??

Not entirely sure But I believe that the PO300 is a Random misfire code and the PO305 is refering that the #5 cylinder is the one doing the misfiring.

I am not 100% but someone here can probably verify it for me.

you are right on the codes, possible a leaking injector causing a loss of fuel pressure and not allowing it to start, that will also set a misfire code

If it is a leaking injector causing loss of fuel pressure shouldnt I be able to turn the key off and on a few times to build up fuel pressure and it start fine ?? Tried that didnt make any difference. Im lost!
