D = 1970s design year (not manufacture date)
? = the year; there should b a 0, 2 or 3 here.
V = Lincoln series, so it is going to be most likely a set of 385 family heads, since they were designed in the '70s for a Lincoln engine
E = engine part
A2A = design revision specifications. Mostly tend to be minor.
Don't let the Lincoln moniker throw you. The truck 460 was the same as the Lincoln 460, and Ford retained the Lincoln "V" designator in the truck engines even after they quit putting them in Lincoln cars.
Also, be aware that even though the engines were the same, the accessories and bracketery were not. Truck 460s generally used a York A/C compressor and a cannister type PS pump. The cars used the Frigidaire compressor and a pancake shaped PS pump - mostly anyway.
Because the car engine bay was different, the brackets had to be different, but the engine was the same internally.

Those are good basic heads. D2 are poorly designed, but the D3s lasted, with minor variations, up to '87.
I have heard, from those with better information, that the D3s can be made to do as well or almost as well as earlier perfomance heads, with relatively minor modifications.
