I confess! I hoard parts!
I save junk just incase I might need to splice out a section of a bed wall to save money.
IM cheap to as you can tell haha. I have a shed in the back yard that is packed full of early ford parts, rims doors, glass, oil pans etc etc.
Everytime I mowe the grass I have to drag out a few things that just wont fit to get the mower out.
I will tell you this it has saved me many times.
I really pity the guy with a 1 car garage, 1 shelf, a neat bench and no distractions to make life more interesting. Since the prevailing thoughts on the creation/expansion of the universe is the Chaos Theory, why should I be any different??
That guy prolly drives a ricer and his only concern is finding a larger coffee can for next year's muffler.

You're. my Hero
I used to park my Motorcycle in the Bedroom, on the second floor.
Bob, I know I've personally seen your parts collection in its various storage locations and I'm jealous. At least I know where I need to go for my spare parts
Well, today I just looked critically at the carb on Old Horse and thought to myself "No, I don't think so!" Fortunately, I just *happen* to have another one I found inna junkyard about 20 years ago, rebuilt, and shelved for later.
I have enjoyed "harvesting" parts from the attic of my barn that I tucked away for the build of my 49, Willard, (the trucks name) years ago. For example I had cut a complete floor (good original paint on all surfaces) out of a crunched cab in Ca. in 1978. It was welded in last winter. I also got to bring down a pair of NOS front fenders that I bought sometime in the 80's (couldn't afford them today-if I could even find them) . There is more up there destined for the build. Just can't have too many parts.
I'm lucky. The "Other Half" loves old trucks. I'm building this one primarily for her. I'm one of those nuts that like to build them more than drive them. Spare parts........the term "enough" never applies.
