vibration dampers

what is the best damper? are fluidampers worth it or would i be just as well off to get a rubber one? for a low-revving 460 stroker

i would get a good one.mine is a romac and it is a nice balancer.ati's are good too but they only come with a big block chevy pulley bolt circle so you can't use ford pulleys.motorsport has some nice balancers too.

I don't like the fluid dampeners, I have run them and just didn't like the results. I am now running a powerforce plus SFI dampner on my race engine, the price isn't bad the quality is good and it's lasted 2 race seasons and counting with multiple trips to the sunny side of 7000rpm. If it will live through what I put a engine through, it will live a long time on the street.
If money is no object, then aurguably the ATI superdampener is about the best IMHO and is what will be on my next engine.
