Factory overload springs

Factory overload springs
I've got a 95 F150 4x4 SC. It's got the factory overload springs on the rear and when unloaded, they sit right on the perches. Every bump I hit causes the overload srings to squeak on their perches. I had two new leafs installed about two years ago when I noticed I had two broken leafs, one either side. This seemed to help get them up a bit. I like the way the truck sits now but hate the squeaks I get over every bump.
Do I need to respring? Or is there something else I can do to stop the noise? I'm sure this also causes a more rough ride as well.
Are there others with this setup? Is it a problem for you?
Thanks
Al

I added overload, factory springs to my 1995 F150, and if I recall correctly there were rubber bumpers that fit over the "ears" (perches) that were attached to the frame. That might help yours. But I don't think mine rode on the overloads when it was empty. That was 11 years ago.

I'd say you need new main springs. The overloads should be nowhere near touching when unloaded. The overloads on mine are around 2inches from the rubber pad on the rear and around 3 in front. Also, if you had to replace broken springs, chances are the truck was so overloaded so often, that all the springs in the pack are sagging. Should be able to get used springs pretty cheap at salvage yards.
