There are two ways to go about this. One is to drop the front axle down by removing the spring and shock. Then pull the axle forward until the end of the arm is free of the bracket.
The other method, The one I did, was to remove the brackets from the frame, replace bushings, and then bolt then brackets back up. This involves grinding, drilling or torching the rivets out to remove the bracket. Then just use some grade 8 bolts (7/16 I believe) in place of the rivets.
On my peticular vehicle, 95 F150 4x4, the passenger side bracket was already bolted on, no rivets. Not sure if it had been replaced already or if it came from factory that way.
