I have a stock 91 f-250 7.3l and was wondering if putting a separate 3'' exhaust pipe from each manifold would work. straight pipe with 4.5" tip on the ends. What effect would this have on the engine? Would it have enough back pressure? Thanks
You don't want back pressure on the diesels so the bigger the exhaust the better.
One problem you will run into is the front fuel tank on the drivers side. It makes running a exhaust to the back difficult. Takes a bit of piping magic but can be done.
Lots of good ideas on exhaust alternatives on this forum. Just do a search.
