Too late...
I was informed today that they cannot place the order as Ford has stopped production this week on the Super Duty trucks.
I am writing Ernie to confirm this. It is not exclusive to the V10 engine - I placed the post here since that is what I was ordering and they're scarce to find.
So, it looks like the folks who procrastinated like me will have to find one in dealer stock that appeals to them or forget about getting a 2007 model.
Regards,
Eric
lets remember the rumor mill has been saying around new years 07 for sales to start on the 08. and work along the side of the new laws on emissions that start jan 1st 07

Hmmmm, I was thinking of ordering an '07 V-10 based on what the last quarter incentives (coming out Oct. 2) are going to be. I was told by a couple of dealers about 3 weeks ago that you could order '07s until October 15. I stopped by one of these Dealers yesterday to double check to see if this was still the case, and he swears it is.
I'm in Canada, but I have to assume this shouldn't make a difference since all Super Duties come out of the same plants.
Based on experience, I find that a lot of dealers like to state what they think you want to hear rather than what is fact. Although, in this case, it would be pointless to do this.
Does anyone have the definitive answer on this? Are the order banks for the '07s closed or not?
November 3rd to order a '07 truck. Ford better not have stopped taking orders
for the '07 because they can keep the '08. That front end is not for me!

I apoliogize for venting, I just don't understand this. Does Ford not want my $39,XXX or something? I don't even get an explanation from the dealer other than he tried to place the order and it was rejected. How can this happen?
Bear in mind - this was 9/24 - close to three weeks before the order banks closed. I call customer service and the people honestly have no clue what they are talking about when you speak with them.
I wish I would have known a better way to have gone about this. I really don't care for the design of the 2008 models and I've looked at a ton of '07's on lots and almost all are PSD's which I don't want.
Thanks for listening to my incessant rambling.

I'm guessing those who placed their orders earlier than me placed them through Dealers that had no more left to sell, but maybe thought they could possibly get more allocated to them, and they didn't want to lose a "potential" sale to another Dealer that had allocation left? If so, that is kind of underhanded since it prevented those buyers from continuing to shop at other Dealers that could actually deliver the truck they promised.
Just a theory............
I know your pain, lived with it on two different attempts to order trucks in the past...
Spent a lot of time on the diesel web site and here on FTE in the buyers forums and got smart on how the whole program works....
I also learned that 50~70% of the sales men, and their mangers are absolutely clueless about how it all works
I find that Fleet sales folks are the most knowledgeable on "ordering" trucks
Many are happy to take your order and ship through the vehicle to your nearest dealer
Actually this is how I got my last truck at my local dealer... I first got a legitimate order started with a distant Fleet guy, took the e-mailed paper work down to my local dude and said meet or beat this deal and I will order through you...he beat the deal by another $250... I called the fleet guy up, thanked him for the assist and sent him $125 as a tip for the help...

Shortly after my last post in this thread I went back down to the Ford dealer to order a 2007 F-250 4X4 CC Sport with of coarse a V-10. All of a sudden I can't get this truck, none are even on any other lots, and I was told that I could get a 2008 with the V-10 around Febuary. No thanks. What a joke. Looks like I am going to drive the wheels off my 2002 V-10 4X4 CC F-250!!!
