Well, not really Just an idea.
Was wondering if I can put like a 4-5 inch stacks on a 6.9L?
Do these motors need any back pressure, or can i run these stacks
straight-NO MUFFLER WHATSOEVER I know the noise
MIGHT be an issue. But think about all those Harleys,Big rigs with no mufflers.
Any ideas as to HOW to do this? Am going to replace fleetside bed w/ A FLAT
bed, gonna run the stacks up the back of the cab Thanks for any
input you can give me.
Dave S has duals on his, with a turbo and no mufflers, and says he doesnt have any problem with em, i myself am going to do it afteri fix my baby back up from her incident the other day.....

If you'r the one who hit a GAURDRAIL, Dude I am SO sorry fer ya, I'll keep you in
my prayres.
you got it all wrong. if you have no turbo it will sound sweet, if you do have a turbo it will sound ok.
I **** you not, the best sounding exhaust EVER is a true dual stack setup on NA diesels, no muffler.
Be sure to get turnouts or your truck will be nasty every time it rains and it gets loud in the cab with the echo above the cab.
and yes 6.9supercab, i am the one that the gaurd rail decided to hit, stupid thing! im still trying to think about what i want to do with the truck, im thinking of finding an old 1970 pickup like the one in my sig and putting the motor and trans in it! its to bad, i just had one to, and didnt need it so i cut it up for scrap.......son of a
Even with turn out stacks, it will still be loud enough in the cab that you will not be able to carry on a cell phone conversation while driving.
Deceleration from about 2800 to 2100 RPM the exhaust rap will rival any semi Jake brake you ever heard.
Turbochargers run only when exhaust is coming out of the engine.
Actually that is not correct, they start turning while you crank the engine to start it, and with the RPM's that they turn it takes a minute or so after the engine is off for them to stop completely.
Way Friggen Koooooool!!!!!!!!! Gonna Put The Biggest Stacks On That
Will Still Have Enough Ground Clearance So It Dont Drag When I Go Over
Speed Bumps!
