6.9L Stacks

I want to put a new exhaust on my 85 6.9 f250 single cab. I wanna run duals from the manifold back to stacks. Can I do that or do I have to have a y-pipe and a stacks kit? Can I run 4" or 5" pipe from the manifold?

yup. as long as you do not have a turbo, you do not need a y pipe.

but i would only run 2 1/2 or 3 inch pipe from the manifolds to the bed, then increase it to stack size at the bed. it will be allot cheaper for the pipe, and the smaller pipe will be easier to bend and plumb under the truck.
