hey, i have a pretty mildly built 360 bored .030 over, mild cam just alittle bigger than stock, rebuilt planed cast heads, performer intake, 670 street avenger carb, etc but anyways i was looking into stroker kits for later on down the road but i figure im getting about 300 hp with 350 ft pounds, rough guess, but i found this website http://www.flatlanderracing.com/strokerford.html the 416 and 430 stroker kits if i bought one itd just be the cast crank, h beam rods, and basic forged pistons, i was curious if id have to change my cam, heads, id prob put a performer rpm intake on, but roughly what would my compression ratio be and how much more power would i get? just curious i guess, theres pics of my 360 in my profile if ur interested, thanks! --andy
Ahh, now that is more doable! Basically, you get a 428 crank, 390 rods, and 390 truck pistons. Balance, assemble, go. Getting it internally balanced is nice also.
The 390 truck pistons are available aftermarket from various manufacturers also, so you shouldn't have problems finding them.
