PSD Excursion - 7.3 or 6.0?

PSD Excursion - 7.3 or 6.0?
I'm still looking at an Excursion. Some people have told me to avoid the 6.0 diesel due to problems.
Any feedback on that?
I have nothing against the 7.3, but the extra power on the 6.0 (plus the extra gear in the transmission) would be nice.

What do you plan to tow? I went for the 7.3 because it is a proven unit and the 6.0s had problems in their earlier years and I am not sure they solved the problems as opposed to band aiding them and waitng for the 6.4

As to reliability, The 6.0 has been our for what? 4 years? And they went to the 6.4. First couple of years were problematic. Next couple were ok. I gues the band-aids are holding up. Does that make you wonder?
