My new 2006 F250 4X4 diesel has electric doorlocks but doesn't have remote keylss entry. I see Ford has a vehicle security kit that has the module and remotes for the 04-06 super duty trucks. The kit is fairly reasonable. The question should I get one and try to install or take it to a specialty shop and get an alarm. Thanks for any advice, Fred

You might want to consider the warranty on your truck. If you go with Ford equipment installed by Ford techs at a Ford dealer, there should never be any questions about your warranty if something should break.
If you choose aftermarket, go with the big guys that will be around to service their product 10 years from now.
