i disconnected all 4 o2 sensors and changed the fule filter, it does not die any more and seems to be running not as rich, the car has good fule pressure, could the pump still have gone bad? also, the car should run ok with the 02 sensors disconnected right?

The IAC is on the throttle body.

One thing at a time... reconnect the O2 sensors and see if the fuel filter had something to do with it (doubtful).

With the O2 sensors out, the computer is running in open-loop. It doesn't care about lots of sensors, it's just doing the best it can with what the engineers put into it.

So, disconnecting the O2 sensors didn't solve the problem, it just made the computer ignore lots of other things. It's probably not the O2 sensors, it's something else, you just made the computer not care about it

Before you go to the dealer, did you change any of the temperature sensors?

Sounds like the computer is keeping rich thinking the motor isn't warmed up.

If you had a scan tool, you could check what the computer THINKS is the coolant temp.

Find a local garage that can do it, or Autozone does free scans (not sure if they will read the temp for you).

Get it fully warmed up and take a trip to the local mechanic and see if they can scan it for the current coolant temp. If it's way off, that's the problem.
