Found a new chip, everyone needs this!
I always keep my ey out on ebay for a sweet deal on mods for my 99 7.3L. The other day I came across a chip or something of the sort made by Z electronics. I was very interested and suspect at the same time. They were claiming 90 to 100 hp and it was only $85.00 or best offer. It sounded to good to be true! I read the feedback and out of 700 units sold only 2 people were dissatisfied, so I thought what the heck. I offered $65 and he took it. I got the chip it the mail the other day and it is a black box with a 5 way dial and an on and off switch with 2 wires hanging out the side (well made thought). I hooked onw wire to groung and the other spliced into the blue wire on the IPC sensor (?) just behind the altnernator. To my amazment it works! I have a budy with a Preditor tuner set on 80 hp and my trucj definatly out performs his and I only spent $81.00 with shipping! I do not know how it works but it is SWEET! Tenn, I think you're on the money. It sounds like an adjustable 10-18K mod. Not trying to burst your bubble 99, but it could probably be made for around $20-$30 with parts from Radio Shack, and a little info off this site.

bECARFULL OF YOUR INJECTORS, HIGHER PRESSURE CAN EXTREAMLY SHORTEN THE LIFE OF #1 #2 INJECTOR i'VE REPLACED MY BROTHERS ONCE ALREADY BECAUSE OF A CHIP HE BOUGHT FAST YES.. EXPENSIVE YES.. KEEP IT ON NUMBER 1 OR 2 SETTING.

At least it's small enough you can hide it any where. I've ordered one just to see what it's all about?? I'll report back to this thread on how well it works.
