Speedometer Cable

My Speedometer cable jumps, I am new at working on my truck because I am only 16, but I wanted to know If I could do anything about the jumping of the needle. I also have no lights on my speedometer and gas gauge and temp. gauge any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Speedometer Cable

Eric. when I have that speedometer problem I take off the cable and work some liquid graphite down inside. Its just sticking.your lights if they are all out, check bulbs, grounds and connectors.

Speedometer Cable

Eric. Sounds like the speedometer cable needs greasing. As for your dash light problem, my first quess would be a burned out fuse. Check your fuse box under the dash. jimarlie

dittos on the cable. Re: dash lights - check headlight switch, if the dimmer part is bad you wont have lights.
