Lost my job today. No DOT physical pass, no driving. My eyes did it for me, now I have to go back to the eye doctor and see if they can fix it. AAAARRRRGGGGGG.
Got a call from the lab in Seattle, they wanted to know if I was interested in any other lab equip. After talking with the owners, I'm going to Seattle Mon with a trailer and I get to load up on labware..............About 2 pick-up loads!
All for free!!!!!!
They are closing up for good Dec,31 and will call me back to pick up the rest.
The forum moderator lives up there in Seattle, he called me while I was down in Chicago area. Sent me his address just in case I ever get up to Seattle and pick up some parts for 1/2 price. Im running on. Leaving today for Indy to Cali. I think this trip should be A ok. New brakes on truck and eyes are ok for DOT passing grade.
Just got back from Seattle last night with these goodys! The unit on the left is the Gas Chromatigraph, the units on the right are the Ion [liquid] Chromatigraphs. They gave me almost a full pick-up load of new spare parts and other equipment [ magnetic sturrers, fume hood, electronic lab scales, Etc] I'll be going back in mid Dec to get the rest of the equipment. Now I have to wait for 2 weeks before I can go to Idaho for my training!
Im tryin. I need a diagram of the vacuum can. I understand the vacuum turns the methanol to gas and goes through the cooling chamber but the jar im missing the concepts and why it doesnt re-vaporize in that jar when it is also vacuum.
Update, I'm leaving for Seattle with a truck and trailer tomorrow to pick up the rest of the lab equipment. A total of 17 commercial lab benches, more fume hoods, and about a pickup load of glassware and misc chemicals. I may just have a full fledged lab yet
I'm pretty good at findin' deals (hence the CHEAPER part of my handle). My buddie's all joke about findin' something you want and then gettin' somebody to pay you to haul it away - they call it a "Cheaper" deal....
BUT, I ain't NEVER scored 70k worth of stuff for free. NICE JOB MAN!
I hereby dub thee..... Cheaper-Fabman!
