I have a 2001 F250 with the 5.4 and I was wondering if the 5.4/6.8 had the same bolt pattering going to the transmission as the diesel. Thought maybe one of you out there would know. I have heard yes/no on this. I don't know really how to find out without having them side by side. The 5.4 is on the downhill side of life and I bought a 1994 Dodge (I know I shouldn't cuss like that) with a good running cummins, bad automatic, bad body, from the local impound lot for 1000, so I thought about maybe one of those cummins/superduty combinations maybe. Any help would be appreciated.
I'll give that a shot first thing monday morning. My truck has the ZF 5 speed in it, if I had an auto I know the ones for the diesels have different clutch packs and shift points and what not, but if they bolted up the same, that would be awesome. I'll give them a shout and post what I find.
