Now that the summer driving season is slowing down and gas prices are starting to fall with a calm hurricane area, when will we see diesel prices start to come down. Holdin steady at 9 cents above 3 dollars in the whole southeast ohio area.
Unfortunately, distillate consumption tends to increase or at least remain constant going into late Summer/early Fall due to harvest season in the agricultural world and schools starting back. Once this slows down, it's usually replaced with the onset of heating oil season for the Winter. Hard to say if or by how much it will come. However, if oil prices continue to slide, then it should come down some.
go figure, there is a physical supply disruption (alaska) but yet prices go down. when there is no disruption, only specualtion, prices go up, like that lebanon thing, prices went up and the dang place doesn't even produce any oil!
Hate to be a nay sayer, but Diesel will never go back to where we thought - there may be slight increases/decreases, but it will continue to rise...just because summer driving is going down means nothing to Oil company profits and the huge consumption of oil in the so called 3rd world countries....We'll never see diesel go below $3.00 here in Idaho again...it's 3.51 and people just keep right on doing what there doing...some have no choice, but a lot do...
here gas is 2.68 and diesel is 2.95. about a weed back gas was 2.95 and diesel 2.75. they just keep switching places. about 30 miles away gas is 2.51. don't know how much diesel is there.
