Unhappy need help with charging

I have a 76 f250 w/360 no mods battery will not charge on truck. it charges fine on battery charger. Alt and volt regulator have been replaced as well as all wires and fusible links ohmed out. voltage at idel and engine reving remains the same @ 12.5 volts. This would be ok but if the truck is driven for more then 10 miles battery is drained so that ingintion cuts out. I'm taking the alt and reg to advance auto then to az where i bought it and have taken it to be tested already. My ? is this I want to know about hooking up a 1 wire alt. any model that will bolt up without major problems? do i need to go to junkyard to get brackets ect? and what about the volt reg and wires? any help would be appricated.

There are numerous threads in the electrical forum about this "GM One Wire" set up.

I think most of threads about it that are posted here are moved there.

They are easier to find if people put the actual topic in the titles of their threads.

I was able to find these for you though.
