Another GM 1 Wire Question
I recenty purchased and installed a Gm 1 wire alt. from a 1998 k2500 124amp.
into my 1980 f-150, 302 coverted to 351, 4x4 reg. cab reg. box. The problem I have been having is I keep killing the light circuit, at leat thats what the tester is saying what has failed. I currently have a 12 volt wire hot wire going into the factory style connector where my chevy has it, and the charging lead to the batt. any help on this would be appreciated on what I did wrong.

Thanks for the responses but I got it figured out.
I needed to put a resistor inline.
on the cs-130 & cs-144 series alt. the marking on the plug are (S, F, L, P)
I was powering the L terminal with 12, incorect, this was suppose to have a bulb or a resistor.
