Just put a new fuel pump on my '63 223, new fuel lines and filter. Now when I get up to speed and accelerate I bog out and sputter. It acts like I'm running out of fuel but I've got the recommended pressure at the carbuerator. Any ideas?
If you have an old rubber fuel line somewhere in the system, these will sometimes colapse under the suction. You might check the lines, don't forget the one under the cab.

Hey check the post "Fuel starvation problems in a 390" I just went through this with my truck and I believe I have a cracked pickup line in the tank not sure but I think I am positive. Check it out it may give you some ideas.
You mentioned you replaced the filter, that's good. But was it the right filter and did you install it correctly?
Most filters are one way and should be marked as to the direction of flow.
Like 64 said, the lines may collapse but you said you replaced them...did you get them all tight? I had the same problem with my 1964 Pontiac Bonneville after replacing the carb. Turns out I reversed the filter (inline type with a check-valve) and was also sucking air around several rubber hose to metal connections.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
