hey fellas
got a question is there a easy way to install the front windshield on a 75 ford truck, I have the new rubber seal. Also this truck has a sliding rear window and the frame is loose on the sliding part is there a rebuild kit for that???
You all have helped me alot on my sons truck and i thank you!!!
Installing the windshield is not that difficult. There was a post on here way back with some pics, I'll see if I can dig it up. Tech article explains it more detail... https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...ord_Truck.html
Essentially, you use a rope, some lubricant like soap or silcone spray. Install the rubber gasket onto the glass. Run a rope along the top and side channels of the rubber. Use lubricant on the rope and in the gasket channel. Lift the windshield into place and seat the bottom off it into place. Now from the inside of the truck carefully and slowly pull the rope up evenly on each side ane the windshield and gasket will slowly seat itself as you progress up the side and across the top. BTW, if your windshield has SS trim, install it FIRST! before you install the windshield.
I'm not sure about your rear slider? You maybe better off replacing it with a new or used one. There is not a lot of clearance in those pieces to make a repair.
