The power feed you are using for the fuel pump can't come through the old EFI computer. The computer will only let the pump run for a few seconds to prime when the key is turned ON. After that the computer waits until it has received feedback from certain sensors before it will engage the fuel pump circuit again. You will have get a power feed from the ON side of the ignition switch but NOT through the EEC computer. This way the pump will just run whenever there is power to the ON position of the ignition switch. Again, make certain you feed the pump THROUGH the inertia switch though.

Best bet would be to use the RED wire and the LT. BLUE/ORANGE wire from the fuel pump relay. Wire one of them to a source that is energized when the key is in the ON position. Ground the other wire. Its a relay coil, so it doesn't really matter which wire you use for which. This should run the pump whenever the key is in the ON position and still keep the fail-safe of the inertia cut-off intact in the event of a collision.

No problem, glad it worked. I've never actually done what I was describing but it made sense based on what I know of the conponents. Lemme know how she runs!
