I recently bought a used 2005 F-350 dually with the 6.0L and I am noticing that when I hit my brakes on pavement my tires will make a faint, but noticible screaching. They are not locking up, and I dont feel any jerking or anything out of the ordinary. I just recently rotated the tires, but I noticed the fronts were worn pretty uneven when I bought it. It will also drive perfeclty straight down the road, so I don't think it can be out of alignment. The problem gets worse when I pull a trailer with the truck.
Any suggestions at what could be wrong, I don't want to take it to Ford to have it aligned because I have a chip in it and I don't want to hassle with taking it out for work not covered by warranty anyways.
Worn uneven in what way ?
Inside ,scalloped,outside ????
What tires are on this vehicle?
what air pressure you running?
How many miles on the truck?

I don't think they will lock up because don't they have ABS being a 2005? You might want to check the tire pressures on all of your tires. Too low and they could possibly make noise.
Check for loose steering parts like ball joints and tie rod ends. If they have play they can create symptoms like you are describing. The brakes put stress on the steering parts and when loose push the front area of the tires inward when braking . Also check for loose suspension parts and for stress cracks in the frame. Bill
