04 edge, 3.0. Best bang for the buck

What is the best "cheap" mod that can be done to improve overall performance.

Bajma chip from what i understand. thgough it's not cheap persay, the cost to preformance gain is the best.

Right on, can't beat a chip, and Bama is the best way to go for Rangers.

Though it'd be better for you if you could get an intake and an exhaust first, then have the Bama custom made to support those mods.

www.bama chip.com, it's a 3 tune programer designed by a ford guy (Doug) just for rangers, it's impressive, by far the best bang for the buck. He does all 3 ranger motors.

The bamachip tuner will definately be a great improvement over stock. Doug is a good guy who knows what hes doing. We are taking care of a lot of his ford truck business now to cut back on some stress for him, since his business is growing fast!

Intake and exhaust will help too, though you could have the tune done before or after those mods, it wont make much difference on the tuning end, and if it would, the tweaks would be free. One of the cheapest mods ive seen for the 3.0 that actually does give you some good improvements is the underdrive pulley. It is cheap enough that it is definately worth it on the 3.0

Check out this link for some more ideas

Your a good man Bob, I didn't realize you were helping Doug out, I figured his work load would start to get overwelming. I also just realized you have an online truck store, I'm dumber than I look ha ha. I gotta a feeling that you and I are gonna be good friends in the near future as I need advice, and parts. It's good to have a supplier who is also active on the board, "THANKS" for being here for us !!!

Bob Jusnes, not to high jack, but I don't see a contact spot on your site, and I can't pm for some reason. My question is, does AEM make a brute force intake for the 04 ranger 4.0 ? 4-wheeler magazine says they make an intake for 97-04 4.0's, but I don't see it listed. I know in 04 they intergrated the maf into the airbox. I really want a bute force for my 04, so if AEM doesn't curently have one, do you know if thier gonna make one ? Sorry for the high jack, it will be my last question on this thread that isn't topic related.
