Isspro Pyrometer erratic

My pyrometer seems to work properly most of the time, but once in a while it will quit working and sometimes fluctuate between 0 and whatever the actual EGT is. Is it the sender, guage, or both?

Have you checked to see if it is touching the other side of the manifold? This can cause an erretic reading. I have the same gauges and no problems yet.

It may be the amplifier box. My ISSPRO trans temp gauge is doing something similar, it's not the sender or gauge (I already replaced those) so I think it's the amplifier box. The good news is they will replace it no questions asked, they didn't even ask me to send the old one back.

What and where is the amplifier box? These gauges were pre-installed when I got the truck, so I'm not very familiar with them. Also, who do I contact for replacement &/or repair?

The boxes should be under the dash somewhere. The pyro box should be black with a green label, it's about 2"x2" or a bit bigger. It is probably zip-tied to a wiring harness or attached to the firewall along with the trans temp box. Contact ISPRO directly, I'm not sure how they will handle it. I just called the vendor I purchased it from and they took care of it. If you can't find the booster box, I can post a pic.
