I want to thank all of you that sent me help on installing my boost gauge. It is in and working fine. I put a "T" into the MAP line as close down as I could and I get very little bounce of the needle. I have also installed a trans temp gauge. Now I am ready to try a pyrometer as I mainly use the truck to pull a 5th wheel camper and I understand it is very important to keep tabs on the turbo temp. My question is where does the line go in at and do I need a electric one? Also, how hard are they to install? Thanks, Mike
Drill a hole into the exhaust manifold down near where the up pipes bolt to the manifold. I can't remember the drill size but then you tap the hole for a 1/8 npt. If you research it you might find a picture of where exactly to put it. Also check the stickies for a 'how to'.

I have used a 21/64 bit, 11/32 is a bit too sloppy for me. I have used a 5/16 in a pinch but its pretty darn tight and I would not suggest it.

I'm pretty sure most generic parts stores(Oreilly, autozone, NAPA, etc) even carry the taps up to 3/8s NPT, as well as the associated drill bits needed for the job.
her eis a tip. Drill and tap the hole with the engine running at an idle. that back pressure will blow any shavings back out the hole. Make sure to wear goggles
