C6 leaking through weep hole
I'm pretty much new to these forums and relatively new to Ford pickup. I recently bought a '70 F-100 and everything seems to be mechanically sound for the most part except the transmission leaks through the weep hole in the inspection plate pretty good after driving. It seems to leak worse when it's filled to 'full' on the dipstick and a little less when I keep it just over 'add'. It seems to run fine like that, no driveability issues. The vacuum hose connected to the modulator has good vacuum and is bone dry. The kickdown shaft is disconnected.
A few questions:
1) Would this be indicative of a pump problem or front seal?
2) Does it need to be addressed ASAP or can I continue adding fluid until I have a chance to address it more at my leisure?
3) Based on searching here it looks like if it is a front seal or pump problem and not something more serious I would need to pull the transmission and replace the offending parts with the transmission in a vertical orientation?
4) Should the TC be replaced, as well (assuming it doesn't look like it's the problem)?
Thanks!
