I really love your tuners, and how my truck performs with it. I do not want to tow this 5er back over the mountains with the stock tune, want the added power and shift pressures etc. your tunes provide. But obviously want to get home too. Being stuck was not a fun time. I will say I am glad that Alexander Ford was there in Yuma and willing to over look my mods on my truck. They did not se the chip however. Just all the others. I did not try and conceal the chip from them, just took it out to see if that was the problem. They never asked if it was chipped, I am sure they already knew or assumed it due to all the gauges and other mods on the truck.
Would it cause problems with the idm? Just curious, the UVC harness or injector #7 seemed to be the issue as we pulled to Cali, and have driven around here for a few days since, and no issues. Did not reinstall chip; however, until we were here in San Diego
No the chip will not cause the IDM to overheat either. You have to take into account that you are dealing with electrical componants. There are eletrical componants inside the PCM, that when they get too hot they can fail. I am not saying this is the issues at hand but it is something you may want to look into.
Glad to hear you are happy with the chip.

Firerooster, Give me a call if you have anymore problems that you need me to come up and tow your 5r or get you out of a jamb. I will be here in AZ at least a week. Do you want an auxillary tank so you dont have to buy as much dino? I can get you one for really really cheap, only its a round big truck tank like whats in my truck.
I just came back from SanDiego from dropping a new 38ft bumper. My speeds came down to 60 pulling those hills but I had to watch my temps post turbo. Just in case you dont have my number anymore its 602-793-8026 Troy
