530 injectors

For those with 530,
I want to make sure I have this right, you have the 530 injector, which is bigger than the 7.3 injector, but modified spray pattern for the 7.3, then you have the hybrids, which are 530 internals in a 7.3 injector, what are the mini me's? I'm planning on the hypermax 530 injector, I have the H2E, CPRX fuel system, head gaskets. I am going to get some sort of better intercooler, like a spearco or something, and maybe modify the turbo. Am I really going to need the even better than stock forged rods? I don't plan on pulling, except once sometime next year. I don't really tow much. So what really is the danger level for the stock forged rods? Thanks
Tim

I think that the MiniMe's are 530 hybrids, but your best bet is to call DI to find out for sure what MiniMe's are. From what I understand, David's pretty good to get info from.

As far as stock forged rods, as long as you keep it at or under the 500 RWHP level, you should be just fine.

DI does not make the injectors, they are supplied by another vendor. You can get the same thing here. http://www.discountpowerparts.com/ Call Larry for the best price and tell him I sent you.

I would say as long as you keep the nitrous off you'll be ok running true 530's or 530 hybrids, your biggest problem will be floating the valves IMO. At higher boost and rpms your stock valve springs might not be enough to get the valves closed quickly. You WILL definatly need headstuds, i dont see those listed in your sig. I would suggest sending your injectors and turbo off to beans diesel performance, im making right at 550 rwhp on diesel only with a custom set of 530 hybrids and his hybrid h2e.

more injecter sheckter

Somebody needs to explain to me the advantage of hybrids. The hybrid has a stock body on it right? so the same size plunger and barrel for bigger nozzles, sounds like more smoke and less atomization to me. Which is what my current stage II's are all about. So luke, how much smoke do you have, I think I read you have a tony wildman tune, tell me about that, is it adjustable? What kind of boost are you seeing and how fast does it spool up? Hows your low end? by custom hybrids, what do you mean by that? and on the turbo, you said its hybrid, is that the bigger compressor wheel? Sorry for all the questions, but its a lot of money we're talking about, and I want to get it right. Thanks.

The advantage of hybrids is that they can be ran on stock hpop but also flow lots of fuel. Hybrids are stock a code bodies with some 530 internals (not sure what exactly, call your fav inj builder for details). Yes they have a lower inj pressure on them and typically smoke more due to this, but my setup is pretty well smoke free unless i just run the crap out of it. Smoke uhh well if i lug engine i can black out 3 lanes, but when turbo spools there is NO smoke in my tow burn and a decent haze in my extreme setting. Yes i have a Tony Wildman chip, its a 4 position but i really only use 2 (tow and haul azz ). They are custom tunes, i took my truck to tony and let him do his thing MUCH better than off the shelf tunes. Right now im seeing boost in the mid 40's on diesel only and over 50 on nitrous. Turbo can be kinda laggy, but if ya drop a gear it spools right up. If rpms are over 2k then its not bad at all, under 2k and its a smoke fest til ya drop a gear. By custom hybrids i mean they have different nozzles than beans standard hybrids. Also hybrid h2 has a bigger compressor wheel, flows about 1200 cfm compared to 950cfm of a standard h2 its a HUGE difference compared to reg h2. Its one of the best mods so far.
