Where is the best place to get the boot adaptor for the 6.0 intercooler in a 7.3. Also i would like to replace my other boots so any advice on where is the best/cheapest place to order from would be great. I checked our sponsors but didn't see the adaptor boot. Thanks
you have a 2003 so you shouldn't need one. the plastic intercoolers in the 2002 and 2003 trucks has the boot that is stepped up at the intercooler inlet. check to see if you have the stepped up size going into the intercooler.
I pulled the ic tubes off with the boots yesterday and tried them on the 6.0 ic. The passenger side boot fit fine but the drivers side was to big. The drivers side boot was different sizes on each end. the one that goes on the ic tube was smaller than the one that goes on the ic. When i put the boot on the 6.0 ic it had atleast an eighth inch gap around it, all the other boots fit snuggly over the tubes/ic. It seemed like it should fit snugger and not have to clamp the boot that much
I did some looking on diesel power products and the boot the have for a 6.0 ic in a 7.3 is bigger on one end then the 7.3 stock boot. The boot i have in my truck is also bigger on one end than the other. When i tried the boot on the 6.0 ic it seemed that the big end which was on my 7.3 ic was to big. It didn't fit snug like the others. Maybe it is just stretched out or something. I will have to take it off again and measure. Thanks

Talk with Bob at Dieselsite.com, he'll know what you need. Anytime I order from him it is at my doorstep within 3 days. He even overnighted me a wicked wheel once. Hope this helps.
I second White Buffalo's suggestion of going with Bob Riley. He's great to talk to and almost always has the boots ready to ship. He'll know exactly what you need.
For you guys that bought from Intakehoses.com, what type of boots did you order? I have to replace my intercooler pipe boots to the intake manifold. Was wondering if you used the silicone boots or the charged air boots? Dieselsite says silicone no good with oil. I haven't done the CCV mod so I will have oil in there. Just something to think about. I should prolly do the whole kit from Dieselsite and be done with it but just didn't want to drop the $200. I was hoping to do the Ford AIS kit with my $200.
We have them custom made for this installation and also offer new Banks tubes as well for the 6.0L intercooler into the 7.3L trucks. Look down this page to see some of the options http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/air
