Upper Steering Column Bearing & Sleeve

Upper Steering Column Bearing & Sleeve
Has anyone replaced the upper steering column bearing and sleeve on a 71 F-250? (I think they're the same for the F series from 67-72). If so, I will appreciate any insight you can share, although I assume it's a straightforward process (doing the lower bearing/sleeve is probably much more involved).
Thanks.

Ford used the same column in 73 also. It is very easy to replace. you will need to remove the steering wheel and you will need to move the turn signal switch out of the way by sliding some of the wires up through the steering column. The bearing just drops in. I got mine from www wildhorses4x4 com.

Parts are still available at the Dealership Parts Counter...In fact, Yup , I still have the packaging...
Bearing Part# C3DZ-3517-A
Sleeve Part # B1AZ-3518-A
The guy at the parts counter laughed when I asked for parts for a 1967 F250. He wasn't laughin when he came back with the parts. The lower sleeve and bearing last much longer then the upper...Surely because of using the steering wheel to pull yourself in..About eight bucks for the whole kit..
