90% of my miles are towing a 16k toy hauler. During that time I yield 7-8 mpg.
10% are empty miles. The last tank yielded me 12.1 mpg which , 50 miles of that was towing the empty hauler around. The ONLY time i get any better is driving empty at 60 mph on flat freeway...then maybe I get 15.

Mine is a f250 5 spd with a 5.8, love the gas mileage.
I have gotten over 20 a couple of times at normal speeds 60-70.
I get about 17-19 with 500lbs or less in the back 70-80mph.
I got about 15 to and from work in traffic (san diego) when my civic got stolen.
I pull a 16ft flatbed with my rail, a quad, and a bike to the desert and get about 12-13.
I just got back from pismo beach. I pulled my buddy's 88 fullsize bronco on a my trailer up there with a quad and bike in the bed and got 10.2.
I'll never own any gas motor by ford except a 5.8. To bad they don't make them anymore. Bought a powerstroke yesterday.
