During the non camping season, I averaged 13.5 (hand calculated on every tank), but towing a 6000# travel trailer most of the summer, that is down to 12.7

I haven't really made any long highway trips with out the trailer so I can't what my straight highway is other then high 17's to low 19's, and that is mostly quessing.

Average is about 13.3. All hand calculated. Most town driving. Towing 40' toyhauler 7-9 MPG mostly through mountainous areas. was getting 15-17 town before a reflash even lifted. only hit 14 once since then (all highway included) and that was 15k miles ago. just recently getting better. Up to near 13.3-.5 from 11-12!!

My cumulative average would be much higher if I could keep her out of 4x4 low so much. I do use power service and don't tow long distances. I Just overload it offroad for a few miles at a time. Best tank is 16.7 freeway at 80 and mixed city driving. Worst is 13.9 and I drove the cr@p out of it to see if I could drop below 10, no luck.

Thanks. I know this was helpful for more than just me and a couple of my friends. With almost 100 responses I think it's a good pool.

90% of my miles are towing a 16k toy hauler. During that time I yield 7-8 mpg.
10% are empty miles. The last tank yielded me 12.1 mpg which , 50 miles of that was towing the empty hauler around. The ONLY time i get any better is driving empty at 60 mph on flat freeway...then maybe I get 15.

Mine is a f250 5 spd with a 5.8, love the gas mileage.
I have gotten over 20 a couple of times at normal speeds 60-70.
I get about 17-19 with 500lbs or less in the back 70-80mph.
I got about 15 to and from work in traffic (san diego) when my civic got stolen.
I pull a 16ft flatbed with my rail, a quad, and a bike to the desert and get about 12-13.
I just got back from pismo beach. I pulled my buddy's 88 fullsize bronco on a my trailer up there with a quad and bike in the bed and got 10.2.

I'll never own any gas motor by ford except a 5.8. To bad they don't make them anymore. Bought a powerstroke yesterday.
