William, about that plastic rag joint...

Does Ford have a direct replacement for the unit in my '66? I think I've got a 36 year-old rag joint in there.

William, about that plastic rag joint...

Ford has it, bought mine at the Ford Dealer in Smyrna, GA. I'll look up the part number when I get home and post back. It is a direct install on all 66-79 Fords with or without power steering.

I got a generic, "off the rack" rag joint at A*t* Z*n* and it works fine on my 66.

William, about that plastic rag joint...

The Ford part number for the new plastic "rag joint" is D5TZ-3A525-A. Ford calls it "FLANGE & INS. ASY. S1. This is a drop in out of the box replacement for the old style rag joint.
