lifter bore spacing

What is the lifter bore spacing for the 460. I am running ideas through my mind and thinking of installing roller lifters. Not too long ago there was an engine built up using bow tie lifters that needed to lifter bores bushed with .032 thick bushings to fit those lifters. Instead of running the bow ties I am looking at 302 lifters since they all have the same bore. I know that I can buy the correct lifter but at 3 times the price. Any ideas?

I think by the time you have all the machine work done to use the cheaper lifters you could have bought a set for a 460. I run Crane roller lifters in my motor and have had no problems with them. Price wise they aren't bad, about $400.
If your gonna run them in a street motor you should get a good set. Everything that I have read and heard says that idleing is hard on solid roller lifters.

I wasn't going to run solid rollers. I know that the hyd rollers would work better for a street appilication. The machine work was something that I thought could be minmized through well planning. Hence questions concerning the bore spacing. I find the answer though. They are 2.0165 center to center as compared to the BBC's 1.800. I took a machinist ruller out with me last night and converted the fraction of 1 3/16 to 1.1875 plus the size of one lifter .0874 to get the spacing.
