Advice on adjusting lifters

Looking for some advice on adjusting the lifters on my 1950 V-8 flathead in my 1950 F-68 (F-3) . I have the adjustable, hollow style . There are no holes in the block beside lifter to put a pin in to hold the lifter from turning while adjusting. Just wondering how you might hold the lifter while adjusting .
Any ideas would be great . Thanks

Someone makes a wrench that is similar to the one used to remove a grinder blade on a hand grinder. It is a u shape with a peg on either end of the U. The pegs fit into holes on the top of the lifter allowing you to hold the lifter while the adjustment is made. I'm brain dead at the moment and can't remember the name of the company that has made the lfters for years. I was using them in 1952 until Isky came out with the 404 as it had a different lifter setup. The lifter had a sllit in it and you had to put a clip in the lifter bore from the inside out. The clip was about 5/8" or so long and that kept the lifter from rotating in the bore. The bottom of the lifter was ground with a radius which is why the lifter needed to be kept in one position. Sorry, way more than you asked for.

I think this is what you need. Other vendors sell them as well.
