I know this topic has probably been rehashed to death, but I will reserect it one more time. I want to put power steering in my '63. I am going the Toyota 4x4 box route. I am struggling with several issues as have others in the past. I have owned this truck for 4 years. It came with a 302 and with regular exhaust manifolds. Seemed to have plenty of room. With the new box in place (nothing is welded yet) it appears I am going to have to get some headers. So, I will list my "issues".
1. I have looked in many bone yards for a bracket to mount Ford P/S pump-no luck. I am looking for just a bracket that would mount the pump on the driver's side of the engine. I got one out of a van, but it turns the pump in such a way that the fluid pickup in no longer at the bottom of the pump, but at about 3 o'clock.
2. The Toyota box with universal joint on just about touches the firewall. Being a Ford man, I want to add an tilt column from an '86 bird and will have to shorten this. It's a neat looking wheel and I cannot help but think it will work. (At this point I refuse to go GM) Any body done this?
3. Assuming I will need headers, any suggestions? I have this 302 mated to a C4 and Lokar on the floor.
4. While I am at this session, I am looking for a strong motor mount system. I would like one that won't cause me to change my oil pan, but would be strong enough thump the pedal and dust some Chevys.
Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated.

I have been asking questions about this subject for over 4 years, and no one has even suggested this. Do you have any suggestions. I don't think I can get into the "I-Beam" years and am unaware of any trucks that had power steering during the early '60s.
