Did you rebuild it, or a shop somewhere? If someone else did the rebuild, you should probably see if they have any warranty for their work.

At this point, I'd go find a rebuildable 390. But that's just me. You already have the 360 pistons, assuming they're in good shape.

Were the pistons in good shape? Valves?

Sounds like the what's bad list is bigger than the what's good list sorry to say.
Looks like your about to to embark on a FE parts scavenger hunt.

Where did you order the flanged nuts for the torque/flexplate ? I'd like to replace mine.. like to have never removed them...was the worst part of pulling the engine..was pissed to find them in such a state after prepping everything else LOL
