cam bolt and washer?
Im rebuilding my 390 and seem to have lost the cam bolt and washer(s)! Does anyone know what size bolt is used here? How long? Where there washersor lockwashers? Steve Christs book says they used a washer & lockwasherhere but doesnt give size.Should i use a little loc-tite here? Sorry for the dumb questionsbut this is only my 2nd engine rebuild.Did a sbc years ago thanks Maddy

Use another bolt from the engine to find the size then go down to a parts store and match it up. Grade 8, the washer I would get a stainless to fit ..JMO.. mine has no lockwasher..After work I can pull mine back off and have a look..

Seems it's a 3/8"-16? Use a grade 8 bolt, hardened washer and loctite. Get long enough to get 3/4" long thread engagement plus room for washer and eccentric.
Like redmanbob mentioned, use other bolt to confirm size. I'm about sure it's 3/8", since it takes 9/16" socket(If I recall right).
