I tried for about 2 hours this morning to get the passenger side exhaust system on the DynoMax Black Jack headers. Finally gave up and called it a day. They are really close to that crossmember at the rear of the engine. I think that I'll have to loosen all the bolts on that header, put the exhaust on then tighten them back up.
I'm really wanting all this to be over and driving that 65 again.
I have the HeadMan headers but had a simular problem. I ground a notch in the flange to allow a bit more movement and it made life easier.
Good luck
notch the flange??? I can't visualize that, it appears that I'd have to notch the crossmember to fix this. Hopefully, loosening those header bolts and then mounting and retorqueing header bolts will work.
The three bolt flange on the Headman rotates so I just took some material off to get it to move a bit easier since it was tight up against the cross member.
I did this while I was installing them so they were not mounted yet.
I think that once I get them on, the bolts on the flange(is that the correct name? the triangle shaped mounting hardware) will slide down the forward side of the crossmember. It's just too close to get the bolts started, I can get one bolt started but then the second one is real close. The third is no where close to where I can get a bolt in it.
Those stock manifolds are starting to look really good sitting in the bed.

Again good luck..
Well, hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20.... I put the thicker flange on thinking, "thicker is better." My slo-par buddy is just laughing at me as he's had some of these issues on his old Charger.
