Loaded my TS performance Chip onto my F250 7.3L Diesel and love the power it added, but i can really feel my torque converter when it locks up under normal power, but if on hard it is smooth does this sound normal
yep, it is just the TC trying to lock opposing all of that fluid inertia inside the TC that is trying to keep it unlocked. it will lock up hard *easily* when not much throttle is applied, however on WOT shifts, the TC will just easily lock up and feel softer.
Which tunes did u get? Did it make the truck shift harder? My 80hp chip was a reburn by a local guy, but was originally a TS performance chip. Im debating sending it back to TS for a reburn.
Stock, High Idle, 50, 75, 100, 140+ the shifting is firm which I like but the Torque converter is the only thing i dont like about it.. Will talk to TS performance today
Ditto as for setup. I just learned to anticipate those situations and throttle accordingly. Getting better every day. Not an issue for me. I'm actually having fun playing with it. If it bothers you, back off on the HP setting. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Well, DP tuner guys may tell you different.
